Protecting people, buildings and the environment is a top priority in the event of a fire. Vehicles with li-ion batteries place particular demands on the fire fighting process: As soon as the ECELL-Guard sensor system detects an incipient battery fire, the system triggers and lays the blanket over the vehicle within seconds. The ceiling suffocates the flames, withdraws extreme heat and removes the resulting pyrolysis gases to the outside in a controlled manner — all fully automatically, without human intervention. The insulation protects against collateral damage to buildings and surrounding vehicles and protects the life and limb of rescue workers.
